Loading Circle Kickoff: Classical Revolution, TIME, Leo Henry

Come celebrate with the cast and crew of independent film Loading Circle after we finish our first day of production with Classical Revolution (ft. James Keene, violin) and Mirror Vision masks by Florida artist and designer Jay Rosen.

This event is free and open to the public.

TIME, LEO HENRY + MIRROR VISION 7 to 9pm
CLASSICAL REVOLUTION 9 to 11pm

TIME

TIME creates an immersive and otherworldly dance floor experience that disarms, uplifts, and illuminates. The vibration of ancient mantra and spirit-syllable creates a grand umbrella under which all else can take shelter. When passed through this lens of divine love, rhythm marks the relentless ticking of eternity. This force reveals and dissolves, until song soars above all.

MIRROR VISION

Mirror Vision are ocular apparatuses which allow for an optically immerse experience with reflection, opacity, and infinity. A wearer’s perception will be instantaneously distorted and fragmented into an omnipresently-twisted vision of the world. Mirror Vision’s mission is to heighten our awareness to the natural world, by causing us to experientially stare directly into the the invisible operations of optics at work.

CLASSICAL REVOLUTION

Classical Revolution is a global classical music movement founded by Charith Premawardhana in San Francisco, California in 2006, with its first session at San Francisco’s Revolution Café. At Classical Revolution events, classical musicians and composers of all instruments are invited to join the core Classical Revolution players in performance, and are even encouraged bring music to read.

While attending the San Francisco Conservatory, violinist and educator James Keene was an active participant in the original San Francisco chapter of Classical Revolution, and in 2014, James founded the New Jersey chapter of Classical Revolution with a little strategic and technological help from polymath Nick West.

Nick West, now in Hong Kong, is also helping with strategy & technology for the film Loading Circle.

9/23 – Cleveland OH @ R&D

Diaphony, TIME and more live at R&D

R&D is excited to present 4 incredible up and coming electronic acts from Pittsburgh as well as Krishna raver heroes TIME from Gainesville FL.

The Program:

Diaphony (PGH)

Duo of Danielle Rager and Susan Kuo on violin and electronics summoning consonant dissonance from medieval chants, neoclassical harmonizations, and postmodern electronic roars

Spednar (PGH)

Live coding project of Kevin Bednar, algorithmic music maven and sonic hypnotist.

Nancy Dr0ne (PGH)

Aural detective Molly Burkett brings the musical equivalent of land art to bear. Sculptural sonics that manipulate time and space.

To Sleep At Night (PGH)

Isolationist ambient musings, excercises in futility. Devotional music for the loudest silence.

TIME (Gainesville)

TIME create an immersive and otherworldly dance floor experience that disarms, uplifts, and illuminates. The vibration of ancient mantra and spirit-syllable creates a grand umbrella under which all else can take shelter. When passed through this lens of divine love, rhythm marks the relentless ticking of eternity. This force reveals and dissolves, until song soars above all.
